We’ve Fallen in Love – Now it’s Your Turn

It’s not difficult to be charmed by the colours and vibrance of Madrid. It’s a city that can’t help but evoke an emotion, whether it’s awe at the sight of the grand Royal Palace, or excitement around the buzz at the La Latina bars.

Plaza Mayor

Plaza Mayor
Plaza Mayor sits in the centre of Madrid. As one of the city’s most iconic spaces, it’s worth a visit if only to drink in the traditional architecture and atmosphere.

Buen Retiro Park

Buen Retiro Park
For a moment of serenity, visit one of the green areas dotted around the city. Feed the ducks, rent a rowboat, or just retreat to the shade and relax.

Lavapiés

Lavapies
If you fancy browsing a market, make sure you visit the most multicultural corner of the city, Lavapiés. Here you’ll find a mix of all sorts – arts and crafts, independent bookshops and international grocers.

Capricho Park

Capricho Park
Capricho Park is Madrid’s best-kept secret. The quaint surroundings are completed with a labyrinth, making it a peaceful escape from the chaos of the city centre.

Royal Palace of Madrid

Royal Palace of Madrid
The Royal Palace of Madrid is the official place of residence for the Spanish royal family, although they usually only use it for official ceremonies. For the best view of the Palace, pack a picnic and grab a spot in the Campo del Moro public gardens.

Temple of Debod

Temple of Debod
Originally constructed in Egypt in the 4th century BC, it was deconstructed and rebuilt in Madrid as a gift to Spain. Visit after dark to see it at its finest.

La Latina

La Latina
The neighbourhood of La Latina offers an authentic taste of Madrid’s nightlife. Take a stroll along the cobbled streets and you’ll find quirky hangouts like wine and tapas bars.
